Why Hire Us

We Understand Maximo's Database, Not Just Asset Management

Custom Maximo reporting starts with knowing which database you’re actually running on — Db2, Oracle, or SQL Server — because that decision changes everything about how a report gets built and delivered. Our team is 100% US-based, and before we write a single query, we ask the questions that actually matter: Is this report for maintenance technicians running it inside Maximo, or for executives who need it delivered automatically every Monday morning? Does it need to combine work order, asset, and labor data across thousands of records? Is downtime, MTBF, or backlog aging the real question behind the request?
Maximo’s native reporting engine is BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools) — and we have a dedicated BIRT development practice alongside our Maximo work. Whether your custom report needs to live inside Maximo itself or run externally through SSRS or Power BI, we handle both.

Same-Day Responses, No Exceptions

We give same-day responses on every Maximo reporting request, so you always know
when your PM compliance report, backlog analysis, or executive dashboard will be
ready.

We Speak Maximo's Schema, Not Just SQL

Knowing general SQL is one thing. Knowing how WORKORDER, ASSET, LABOR, and
MATRECTRANS relate to each other inside Maximo — and how to pull MTBF, MTTR, and
inventory aging out of that structure — is another. That specific knowledge is what
separates a report that actually answers the question from one that just lists data.

Why Choose Us

Built for the Teams That Run on Maximo

Maximo is used by facilities managers, maintenance teams, utility companies,
manufacturers, and hospitals — and each of these groups asks for different reports.
Here’s what we build most often:

Asset Reliability & MTBF/MTTR

Failure trends, top-failed assets by cost and count, and mean-time calculations Maximo doesn't produce natively.

PM Compliance Reporting

Preventive maintenance compliance by facility, technician, and asset type — with overdue PM detail.

Work Order Backlog Aging

Open work orders stratified by age, location, and craft — the maintenance equivalent of an AR aging report.

MRO Inventory Aging

Storeroom inventory that hasn't moved in 90, 180, or 365 days — supporting obsolete-inventory decisions.

Executive KPI Dashboards

Power BI dashboards showing asset availability, maintenance cost per unit, and PM compliance on one screen — built for maintenance directors and plant managers, not just technicians inside Maximo.

FAQ

Common Questions

1. What database does our Maximo instance need to be on for custom reporting?

Maximo runs on IBM Db2, Oracle, or SQL Server depending on your deployment. SQL Server gives you the most reporting options (SSRS, Power BI connect directly); Db2 and Oracle typically use custom BIRT reports built inside Maximo. We work with all three.

2. Do we need IBM Professional Services to build custom Maximo reports?

No. Custom BIRT reports, SSRS reports, and Power BI dashboards connected to Maximo’s database don’t require IBM’s involvement — just Maximo database knowledge and the right reporting tool.

3. Can you calculate MTBF and MTTR from our Maximo data?

Yes. Maximo captures the underlying data but doesn’t calculate these natively. We build this as a custom BIRT or SSRS report using your WORKORDER and ASSET tables.

4.Do you build reports for MRO inventory aging?

Yes — showing what storeroom inventory hasn’t moved in 90, 180, or 365 days, to support obsolete inventory write-down and storeroom optimization decisions.

5.Can you build an executive dashboard for our maintenance KPIs?

Yes — Power BI dashboards showing PM compliance, asset availability, and maintenance cost per unit, connected directly to your Maximo database.
